Microchipping

Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It's a tragedy that happens all too often. But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet's safety and retrieval should they ever become lost.

Vaccinations

At Sylvia Wiebe Veterinary Services in Swift Current, SK, we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet's health is vaccinating him or her against possible diseases. There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets, and other animals, so proper vaccination is vital to protecting them from many types of illnesses.

Deworming

Intestinal parasites not only hurt your pets but also can cause damage to you too, so it is really important to us to offer intestinal parasite screening and routine deworming. Intestinal parasites often make pets hungry. Many suffer from diarrhea and even vomiting. They can’t gain or maintain weight because the parasites are using all of the food the pets eat to grow and cause more damage.

Wellness Exams

At Sylvia Wiebe Veterinary Services in Swift Current, SK, we believe that regular checkups and wellness exams are critical to your pets' well-being. These wellness exams give us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet while also giving us a baseline for their unique bodies and tendencies.

Nutritional Counseling

At Sylvia Wiebe Vet services we believe proper nutrition is the most important aspect of a healthy pet. Proper nutrition helps maintain a healthy gut microbiome which is very important to overall health. Dr. Wiebe loves talking nutrition.

Digital thermography

Digital Infrared Thermography Imaging is a non-invasive test using an infrared camera to measure and pinpoint abnormal thermal changes within the body. The camera gauges body tissue that is then reflected on a high-speed computer for imaging.

Titre Testing

Dr. Wiebe does not believe in vaccinating just because, so she has implemented titre testing in dogs that have been vaccinated a few times to see if there are antibodies present for adenovirus, parvovirus and distemper. There is no benefit in over-vaccinating. The test is done using a blood sample.

Laser therapy

Laser is high intensity light used to decrease inflammation and speed up healing. Used for cases of sore muscles and joints, and wounds.

Craniosacral Therapy

CST is a light touch therapy that deals with the craniosacral rhythm. This therapy helps the body to relax and release where tension is. It is a difficult modality to explain. Used on horses, dogs and calves.
